Leslie Reed was born in Kingsport, Tennessee in 1977.  Reed works

predominantly in the medium of photography, but often incorporates video.   She uses constructed realities, non-linear narratives, and experimental photographic techniques to alter her subjects.  The work often contains references to street and documentary photography and calls attention to the potential for neglected resources, locations and memories to be reclaimed through creative actions.

Leslie Reed received her BFA from the Atlanta College of Art and her MFA from the University of South Florida.   She has worked as a freelance photographer, teacher, editor, designer, and darkroom printer, and has volunteered with human rights and environmental organizations in the United States and South Korea.
